2006 Thorpe Sparkling Shiraz

Made using the method traditional to the Champagne district, our sparkling shiraz is aged on its lees until we are ready to disgorge it. This produces a remarkably fresh wine with additional layers of complexity. Blackberries, spice, and vanilla are on the palate followed by a long cedary finish. This wine is much drier than most of its peers, which we think allows it to work better on its own and with food. Perfect for any occasion. 500 cases produced.

Tasting Notes
Colour Black Magenta with a Thai silk lustre and shimmer from the fine
bead.
Nose Black currants, violets, spearmint, cherry, olives and tobacco.
Palate A drier style of sparkling shiraz with only 28 grams residual
sugar. Lovely black fruits, new season raspberry and spicy cedar, the
zippy bubbles awaken the senses and refresh the palate. One of the best
hidden secrets in the wine world.
